Research

Among our many projects, we are currently looking at how people make decisions under different conditions such as in-groups or under the influence of a hormone and neurotransmitter called oxytocin.   We also look at how individuals make judgements and take risks and also how people trade with one another in various institutions.

The core of our program is bringing economic theory to areas of interest to neuroscientists, as well as bringing the methodology of neuroscience to explore economic issues. We are able to achieve this by partnering with organizations at GMU as well as outside of the university to bring diverse skill-sets together to create exciting research.
